Keeping it “Real” This Christmas Season

This post is sponsored by It's Christmas Keep It Real, but the opinions are my own.

Just like New Year’s Eve, the countdown to the Sunday after Thanksgiving is always a big deal in our house. This is when we pack up the family and head out on our adventure of finding the perfect Christmas Tree! Giggles, reminiscing of previous years adventures and the taste of hot cocoa is what warms my heart! This is always a special time and after everything that 2020 has thrown at us I can’t tell you how eager I am to experience a little normalcy with continuing with our tradition of Christmas tree hunting.

I’m not sure if it’s the excitement of the Season, seeing all of the ornaments the kids made in school throughout the years being displayed, or the scent of our real tree in the house but it is always a fun-filled family trip to the tree farm each and every year that truly kicks off the Christmas Holiday!

Sure, the kids may not be as involved in the “looking” at the trees while they play games of hide-and-seek amongst them all, but the smiles on their faces and memories they’re making is what fills my heart most!

Real Christmas trees are special; they create memorable experiences and they literally smell like Christmas. With a real Christmas tree we are not only adding more cheer to our Christmas as we close out 2020 but we are also supporting small and local businesses during these challenging times. In fact, research shows that real trees are much friendlier to the environment compared to artificial trees and for every real tree harvested, they plant at least one new tree.*

Traditions play a huge role all throughout the year but especially during the Holiday Season.  Finding the right tree is merely the first step that brings the Spirit of Christmas into our home.  Moving all the furniture in choosing the best place to display all its glory, getting the decorations down from the attic while reminiscing over the first Christmas spent with your Husband, having the kids hang the ornaments that say “Baby’s 1st Christmas” all while I get to place the fresh branches cut from the bottom of the tree all around my house to spread the smell of Christmas!

This Christmas Season may you build upon your family traditions and continue to make memories that will last a lifetime as you Keep it Real with a live Christmas Tree. From our family to yours Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
