  • 300 Beechwood Avenue Carnegie, PA, 15106 United States (map)

Join us for food, art, education, and fun as we celebrate the holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States: Juneteenth!

Come enjoy delicious soul food from Carmi; discover the story of Juneteenth in Western Pennsylvania with a special talk from Pitt professor Alonna Carter-Donaldson; learn the history of Carnegie’s Second Baptist Church from church member Ashley Askew; show off your skill tossing beanbags and horseshoes; get creative with crafts led by members of Carlynton’s Black Student Union; bop to the music while socializing, and more!

This fun festivity offers something for all ages, and will take place outdoors if weather permits. Please come celebrate with us!
